Thoughts of The Past Week

It went out fine. Awesomely fine. Better than fine. Close to perfect. 

I'm happy. Our student committee is happy. The teachers are happy. Students are happy. Hopefully God is please with all this. The hard work we put into it.

What am I talking about? Your answer: TLC's Inter-Brethren Captain Ball games.

I'm thankful that we manage to pull everything off. Although I might say it took off with a shaky start, we did end pretty well. Obviously, at the end of the day everyone was tired. But, we were satisfied. I knew I was. Got to know some new people. A cool bunch. 

Dosed off immediately after reaching home. That tired. Imagine that.

Father's Day was on a Sunday, as usual. 19th June.

It was uneventful however. Dad didn't really wanna celebrate. So our family had a simple dinner at an Italian shop in Tropicana Mall. Was quite good. Expensive. They have wonderful deserts. :) 

Bought him a box of Royce dark chocolates. Just the right amount of smoothness. Melts in the mouth. Not really sweet. Fine texture. Everything you wanted in a chocolate. I could tell he really did like it. Finally, after 16 years of living. He's happy with my present. *eye rolls* Oh well.. Whatever makes him happy. O.o''

A Day that Nothing Made Sense

Look at my title. I say LOOK AT IT NOW. As you can see, I'm not exactly myself right now. A lil' drowsy from the heat & a lil' blur because of the huge amount of holiday homework that I didn't finish during the holidays. Ugh.. I sound like a nerd now, talking about school. Pfft! :P

Tis' the season to receive exam results..

Do you hear the choir singing? Hah.. Just kidding.

And so everybody starts comparing results. You envy me, I envy you. It's the life cycle. You begged teacher for more marks, I shrugged and just watch the crowd. Screaming and complaining when you didn't get the highest and crying over the fact that you have siblings who are smarter than you. I laughed and thought are you that desperate? Look around you, you may think you've flunk but there are people out there who put in twice more effort than you and yet, still actually flunk. Snap out of it, kid. The world's not gonna end if you didn't get an A+. Be more considerate when you talk next time because you're hurting more people than you think you are.

Random-ness

I love fridays! I just can't get enough of it. *starts singing Rebecca Black's Friday* 

My ex-classmate / best friend in the whole world, came over to my place for a lil' girly get together. It was epic. Talking into the night about stuff that matter and stuff that didn't really matter. All the random-ness. One minute we're talking about school the next minute we could be talking about food. I still wonder how we actually concluded our night of sharing. It was like we had a million things we could say to each other, although we practically text each other everyday. Have you experience this before? Awesome isn't it..

She left today. On a Friday no doubt. I sent, scratch that, my dad, sent her home.

Sweet Freedom, maybe?

The starting of the holidays. The time to sit back and relax. To do nothing but sleep, eat, sleep some more and read. Yea'.. That's life. *deep sighs* Coffee..

Well, first thing's first. I did start off my holidays with a book. 

An awesome book. 

Name's "The Memory Keeper's Daughter" by Kim Edwards. 

Wonderful, breathtaking book. You'll get hooked once you've read it, I guarantee.

It speaks about a family who has many secrets. The dad, Dr.David Henry who've had a hard life in the past before turning into the known doctor & photographer he is now. The mom, Norah who mourned the daughter she "lost" at birth yet never really getting over it. Drinking & having affairs with other men, the main motive: just to forget everything. The son, Paul as innocent as he was. Lost in the world of music to be rid of all the frustration and anger he felt & the daughter, Phoebe Grace Henry, born as a confirmed Down-Syndrome baby. Given away at birth by the father to his nurse. As the story unfolds, you'll be able to understand what truly goes into their minds. A story that'll leave you wanting for more. (Sorry for the bad summary though =.= )

Getting on with my supposed topic, life has been treating me kind, I guess. Things ARE happening but they aren't that big to make a fuss out of it. The highlights of my week. Hmm.. I'm not quite sure about it. It's getting bored around the house now. I was supposed to cut my hair yesterday but somehow or another, it didn't 'jadi'. But I didn't know what to do with my hair anyway, so it's a plus?

Mom said I should stop taking pictures of myself. You can't blame me right? If I had a photographer to myself I wouldn't be taking my own pictures. >_> But I think she's jealous because no one takes pictures of her. :P *laughs* KIDDING!

Conquering the Mountain

IT'S FINALLY OVER!!!!!

Aaa.. I feel better now. But still, I can't believe it's over after what.. 2-3 weeks of exams. Tormenting. No TV, no computer, no storybooks. Now, freedom. xD

Current mood: Extremely happy but tired.

Got to go catch up on my sleep, seriously. This whole week I've been sleeping for only maximum 5 hours per day. If you think that's crazy.. You haven't seen my other friends.

Basically, I'm just glad it's over. No more stress eh?

Yf fundraising preparations are tomorrow. Kinda looking forward to it. *winks* Guess it'll be a busy weekend too.. Hope the thingy turns out fine. ;)

After my "awesome" English paper, Imma just relax for the weekend. Cousin's wedding coming up soon. Today's the bachelors night. Gonna go rock my socks off!!! ;-)

Bro : Jie (sister), I think I'm fat.

Me: No you're not. 

Bro: Yes I am! Look at my thighs.. They jiggle. >_>

Me: *Speechless-ness*

Bro: Even the girls in my class have muscles. So hard.. (the muscles)

Me: You should stop mixing so much with us (meaning me & mom) and start mixing more with guys. :O

Bro: Imma go on a diet..
